Dubai’s Business Boom: Indian, Iraqi & Turkish Companies Drive Record Growth

Dubai’s business scene is thriving like never before, with an influx of new companies from across the globe choosing the emirate as their gateway to success. At the forefront of this surge, Indian businesses continue to dominate new registrations, while Iraq, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom have recorded the highest growth in foreign company memberships at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in 2024.

The numbers tell a compelling story 16,623 Indian businesses joined the chamber this year, reaffirming India’s strong trade ties with Dubai. Hot on their heels, Pakistan secured the second spot with 8,179 new companies, while Egypt followed closely with 5,302 new members.

However, the standout growth came from Iraq, Türkiye, and the UK, each witnessing a remarkable surge in new company registrations. Iraq led the charge with a 37.8% jump, adding 1,718 new businesses. Türkiye followed with a 25.5% increase, while the UK saw a 14.2% rise, bringing in 2,588 new companies.

The trend underscores Dubai’s reputation as a global business hub, attracting investors from all corners of the world. Companies from Syria (2,764), Bangladesh (2,369), Jordan (1,474), and China (1,473) also made significant contributions to the growing business ecosystem.

A closer look at the industries shaping this expansion reveals that trading and services dominated, accounting for 41.1% of new registrations. Real estate, renting, and business services followed at 32.9%, while construction (10.5%) and transport, storage, and communication (8.4%) rounded out the top sectors.

Dubai’s pro-business policies, strategic location, and investor-friendly environment continue to drive this impressive growth, cementing its status as a preferred destination for global entrepreneurs. With such momentum, the emirate is poised for an even more dynamic business landscape in the years ahead.
